Common Name Ramos' Dendrobium [Philippine Orchid Collector 1900's]
Flower Size .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm]
Endemic to Luzon Island, The Philippines on open ground at elevations of 1200 to 1300 meters in montane forests as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with slender, cane-like stems carrying many, linear leaves that are held in 2 rows and blooms on a short, few to several [5 to 15] flowered inflorescence that arise from the stem apex and along the stem of leafless canes occuring at most any time of the year.
Plants should dry out between waterings in the winter months and resumed with the onset of new growth in the spring.
