General Information
Leaves without a ligule, margin distinct and slightly thickened; apex bluntly-oblique to acute, 25–55 cm by 6–20 mm; blade flat. Scape subterete, compressed below inflorescence, with 2–7 ridges, 15–40 cm by 2–3 mm. Inflorescence depressed hemispherical, 1–1.5 by 2–2.5 cm. Median bracts almost triangular, with margin-entire, light brown in upper part with narrowly-oblong greenish field 6–7 by 0.6–0.7 mm. Lateral sepals connate below, brown with smooth, upwards greenish crest.

Ecology
Among mosses on open sandstone plateau, once collected at 1300 m alt. In Indochina at 850–1600 m alt. on sandy soil. Flowering in July, in Indochina March–July.
