ORIGIN: This species is found from Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte from areas that have a long dry winter and is found at elevations of 25 to 1200 meters.
DESCRIPTION: A miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte. The small, 1 pseudobulbs are conical-ovoid, longitudinally grooved, spaced close together on the rhizome and have a gray green appearance with purple spots, and carrying a single apical, erect, very coriaceous, 4 leaf. The racemose inflorescence is basal, and fairly lax, with few to many, longlasting, non-fragrant flowers that appear in the summer and fall.
