ORIGIN: Found in Ecuador at elevations around 1300 to 1800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramcauls with a close tubular sheath below the middle and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, spreading, coriaceous, ovate, acute, acuminate, sessile, deeply cordate leaf that blooms in the summer on a fascile of .1 to .15 [2 to 3 mm] long, successive, single brown flowers arising through a spathe.
