Neat yellow flowers on short stems, the petals backed with Ruby.  Leaves are narrow and hairy.  Extremely floriferous, when in bloom the flowers are so numerous they completely hide the foliage.

Oxalis is an enormous genus, with the majority coming from South America and South Africa.  Only a few South American species are included in this list, and are noted as such.  The South African species are largely winter-growers, brightening the dreary months with their exuberant flowers, then go dormant in summer when they should be kept dry.  They are best appreciated as container plants, and need sun to open their flowers.  SHIPS JUNE-SEPTEMBER
